Effortless DIY Comic Con Costume

London Comic Con is one week away!

I have been to a few myself and did not necessarily always have a costume ready for the occasion. I must admit the whole experience, as fun as it can be, is even better if you dress as a character! It is somewhat empowering and makes the whole experience complete.

And if you don’t have your costume ready, not to worry. Main thing is not to over complicate things. I am not a pro cos player, but trust me you don’t need to be one in order to have a good time. Always bring friends and if they’re not available you are likely to make friends in queues as you already have one thing in common ;).

Last year I made/bought my own Melisandre from Game of Thrones costume for £40!

  • Budget dress from boohoo.com – £20
  • Medieval looking accessories boohoo.com – £10.
  • Red wig for ebay.com – £10
  • Comfy ballet pumps/gladiator sandals for walking and standing in ques all day -Pre-owned
  • GOT Pin – was a freebie when I purchased GOT books.

I also spray painted the necklace to make it look similar to original in GOT show.

For hair I watched Melisandre tutorial @ Silvousplaits

(Please note sometimes dispatch can take few weeks so make sure you check expected delivery date to receive it in time for your occasion.)
